A freshly resurfaced video from decades ago supports the sexual allegations against Joe Biden, according to Fox News.

CNN has been under scrutiny for its reluctance to cover Tara Reade’s claims of sexual allegations against the presumptive democratic nominee.

However, it also failed to uncover archived footage that has been found from an episode of Larry King’s old show, where his accuser’s mother called into.

Some critics are calling this “journalistic misconduct”.

The Intercept reported Tara Reade’s claims of her mother calling into CNN’s “Larry King Live” to discuss her daughter’s “experience on Capitol Hill,” where Reade’s alleged sexual encounter with Biden occurred.

Hidden between hundreds of thousands of hours of old archive footage lied the clip on “Larry King Live.”

CNN’s team of investigative reporters did not reveal the footage, instead, a conservative group called media Research Center’s NewsBusters, were the ones who exposed the media, and revealed the footage.

“It’s truly despicable that this footage existed and yet CNN failed to do its own due diligence within its own archives,” NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck told Fox News.

“Perhaps they thought doing the bare minimum with help from the horribly biased MJ Lee would have done the trick and made the concerns about their on-air silence go away,” Houck said. “Now they’ve poured gasoline on the fire. Once again, we see a case of how the worst kind of media bias is the bias that you don’t see, or bias by omission.”

“Larry King may have had the biggest scoop of his CNN career this evening … And it’s an open question whether his former employer will say a word about it,” New York Post reporter Jon Levine tweeted.

“While unsurprising given how fundamentally unserious of a network CNN has become, it’s gratifying for the MRC but shameful for CNN that they hadn’t unearthed this long ago,” Houck said.

“That CNN couldn’t pull this clip out of their own archives, even after Reade mentioned it in a recent interview, seems to demonstrate that CNN just lacks hustle to investigate this story or just wants to keep the story buried,” Jeffrey McCall said. “Either way, this comes off as journalistic misconduct.”

“Biden is presumed to be the Democrat nominee for president and that makes this matter newsworthy enough to be investigated, with of course all precautions for fairness and accuracy,” McCall said. “The discovery of this video clip does provide some extra evidence in the matter and it should be reported with proper context and scrutiny. But it shouldn’t be summarily dismissed as irrelevant, particularly in this era.”

More from Fox News:

CNN didn’t even mention the tape’s newfound attention during its Friday night primetime lineup. CNN’s “Reliable Sources” newsletter didn’t think it was worth including, either.

CNN has largely ignored Reade’s claims, drawing criticism from media watchdogs that often contrast it with how the liberal network handled allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh with hundreds of stories and countless segments. CNN finally published its first story on Reade’s claims on April 17, weeks after they were made, when correspondent MJ Lee framed the story as Democratic leaders and allies of Biden being “asked to respond to an allegation” against the 2020 Democratic frontrunner.

The resurfaced CNN clip from 1993 appeared to show Reade’s mother alluding to “problems” her daughter faced while working as a staffer for the then-Delaware senator. Reade later told Fox News it was indeed the voice of her mother on the clip. Biden’s presidential campaign has adamantly denied Reade’s allegations but the video could be cited as evidence supporting Reade’s allegation – even though her late mother, in the clip, does not specifically refer to a sexual assault claim.

CNN did not immediately respond to a series of questions, including whether the network knew the footage existed.

The sexual allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden are reportedly being probed by the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia, according to the Washington Examiner.

This comes after Tara Reade came forward with her allegations of Joe Biden sexually assaulting her back in 1993.

“This is an active, ongoing investigation, and there are no further details to provide at this time,” a Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson said.

“Cases that are handled by the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit go through a multi-review prior to being assigned a disposition. This case is progressing through the review process.”

The investigation remains open despite the alleged assault happening past the statute of limitations.

Reade filed an incident report with the D.C. police on April 9.

Police said she “disclosed that she was the victim of a sexual assault which was committed by Subject-2 in 1993.”

Reade said that she filed the report for “safety reasons,” for the purpose of establishing a paper trail in case “something happened to me.”

Tara Reade, the woman who accused the former Vice President Joe Biden of sexual assault, filed a formal criminal complaint. “Late Thursday afternoon, Reade filed a report of the incident with the sexual assault unit of the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department,” according to Business Insider.

“Business Insider has obtained a public incident report recording the allegation.”

Reade explained what allegedly happened during a podcast interview last month.

“She said he was down towards the Capitol, and he’ll meet you,” Reade said.

“I went down, and I was heading down towards there. He was at first talking to someone.. and then they went away. We were in like the side, like the side area, and he just said, ‘Hey, come here Tara.’”

“I handed him the thing. He greeted me. He remembered my name. And then we were alone,” Reade continued.

“It was the strangest thing. There was no like exchange really. He just had me up against the wall. I was wearing like a skirt, a business skirt.”

“It happened all at once…his hands were on me and underneath my clothes. Yeah, and he went down my skirt but then up inside it, and he penetrated me with his fingers, and he was kissing me at the same time, and he was saying something to me.”
