Joy Behar Explains Darkening Skin While Dressing As ‘Beautiful African Woman’ in Photo

Joy Behar Trying To Explain Wearing Blackface Is Simply Ridiculous. Watch Below…

Looks like an old blackface video has finally caught up with liberal host Joy Behar.

The Wrap media editor Jon Levine shared the old video of “The View” from 2016 which showed the co-host trying to explain a Halloween costume she wore when she was younger.

Behar shared the picture of herself when she was 29 during a discussion about curly hair.

After the picture appeared, Raven-Symoné who was a co-host at the time asked her, “Joy, are you black?”

From Fox News:

“I was so cute,” Behar said.

“Joy… are you my auntie, Joy?” Raven-Symoné joked.

Behar explained that the picture was taken at a Halloween party where she dressed up as a “beautiful African woman” and stressed that it was her actual hair.

“Did you have tanning lotion on, Joy?” Raven-Symoné asked.

Behar responded by saying she wore makeup “that was a little bit darker than my skin.”

This comes at a time when a scandal involving wearing blackface has embroiled Democrats in Virginia. Both the Governor and the Attorney General have admitted to wearing blackface at parties in the 1980s.

Comedians like Jimmy Kimmel have worn blackface in the past and faced no pushback for it.

Megyn Kelly spoke about people wearing blackface when she was a child and she was let go after it.

ABC News has not responded about what they think of the Joy Behar incident.
