Fox News ‘Judge Jeanine’ PULLED Off Air After Questioning Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Adherence to Islamic Doctrine Over US Constitution

Looks like Fox News host Jeanine Pirro may be in trouble at Fox News because of her comments over Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

The network didn’t run her show as normal on Saturday.

From Variety:

Fox News Channel replaced tonight’s broadcast of Jeanine Pirro’s weekly program with a repeat episode of its documentary series “Scandalous,” just days after the 21st Century Fox-owned cable-news network said it condemned remarks the outspoken host made about Minnesota Democrat Ihan Omar.

The change in Fox News’s schedule was evident in an on-screen cable guide. But a Pirro broadcast had been placed in newspaper TV listings for this evening.

When reached for comment, a Fox News spokesperson said, “We’re not commenting on internal scheduling matters” and declined to elaborate.

It’s not clear if it’s a temporary situation or if she’s been yanked permanently yet. Fox isn’t saying.

Pirro was criticizing the anti-Semitic remarks made by Omar when she made remarks that ignited criticism.

From ABC:

“Think about it: Omar wears a hijab, which according to the Quran, 33:59, tells women to cover so they won’t get molested,” Pirro said on her show last week. “Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?”

Fox News reacted to Pirro’s on-air comments on Monday, releasing a statement: “We strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar. They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.”

Pirro said that she was not calling Omar un-American.

“I’ve seen a lot of comments about my opening statement from Saturday night’s show and I did not call Rep. Omar un-American,” Pirro said in a statement on Monday. “My intention was to ask a question and start a debate, but of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the Constitution. I invite Rep. Omar to come on my show any time to discuss all of the important issues facing America today.”

Some advertisers then pulled their advertising from her show after she got blowback for the remarks.
